Have been reading your Parish News letters for the last couple of months now as considering moving to the area. I have noticed whilst reading them the reference to all the criminal damage and senseless vandalism which seems to go on within the village. Has there been any consideration to the village raising money to hire an independent police officer or community support officer. I understand the cost of such ranges from £25k - £35K a year depending the options. I’m sure some of the money could be raised from sponsorship from local companies, especially local civil engineering contractors, as well as local fund raisers. This may all have been considered already but its just a thought.

Hello , my grandmother is a resident of the elderly peoples home in church road, adn i regualy liek to take her out in her wheelchair, however, the other wednesday when i was visiting from sheffield i decided to take her out, but the paths thoughout the village are diabolical. i pushed her up church street, but the front wheel of the chair got stuck in a pot hole and my elderly mother fell out of her wheel chair. i feel that money should b spent on the paths rather thasn wasting £600 on pulling a few cctv cameras down from the 'skywards' possition ! thankyou !

I was born in Luton & Dunstable hospital in 1959. When we left hospital my mum took me home where I lived with my parents and two older sisters in Markyate Road. My parents are still living in the same house. I lived there all my life until I married in 1983. I was christened, confirmed and married at St. Andrews church. I attended Slip End school and was a member of the Brownies. I can still remember when the playing fields opened because my sister and I won first prize in the fancy dress competition as a Bride and Groom. My mum gave me a copy of the Parish magazine so I thought I would have a look on the website. It is very impressive.

Good work Peter, the site is much snappier now! The A380/Village Hall picture overstates the airport problem don't you think? I saw this in Parish News recently: surely an editorial flight of fancy! (www.airliners.net is recommended for those interested in some less doctored aircraft photography!)

Looking for a guy that left VAUXHALL MOTORS - LUTON in 1977 / 1978. He was dating a lady called Linda White who lived in the Dunstable area at the time. I believe he moved to London but unsure. If anyone knows a name of someone who left during those years, please let me know. Thank you
