Slip End Youth Club

This club will unfortunately close from 24th November 2010

The club had been running for several years but recently has seen a massive decline in numbers and the Community Projects Group has had to take the decision to close the club. The last night the club will be open is Wednesday 24th November 2010. We may look to re-open the club in 2011 so watch this space!

Grants & Funding

Thanks to a recently successful grant application to the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation in which we were awarded £2,300, we were able to buy new equipment for the Youth Club and we now have two 32" LCD TV's, a table tennis table, an indoor/outdoor swingball game and Guitar Hero's for the wii console.

The grant was awarded to us for new equipment and to help towards our running costs, and thanks to this grant, which was funded by both London Luton Airport Community Fund and F and R Cawleys Ltd, we were able to purchase this equipment.

Trips Out

August 2009 We recently took some of the Youth Club kids to Hindleap Warren Outdoor Centre, located in Ashdown Forest. For some of the kids this was the first time they had been away from their families and away from Slip End. They had a great time rock climbing, obstacle racing, high wire movement and lots of other outdoor activites. This trip was partly possible through a donation to the Youth Club by London Luton Airport and we are extremely grateful for their on-going support and donations.
