Little Stars

Little Stars is the group for the very young (new born until they go to school) and their parents or whoever is looking after them - Dads definitely NOT excluded! We have even had "mums in waiting" coming along. We meet at the church, either in the family room or the church depending on how many folks, heating, roof works etc.

We meet every Wednesday morning from about 10:30 to about 12midday - turn up when the little darlings permit! and as we start the session with refreshments (so turn up for that made cup of tea if nothing else!) and chat! (no one is ever regarded as late! we are just pleased to see them whenever!)

When we feel most folks have arrived we have a story and activity (often a simple* "make") both with a biblical/church theme. *Some parents would question the use of the word simple! but it is designed for the children to do the "make" with some adult assistance!

This will be followed by singing, (children's songs) birthday candle and a simple prayer. If one has to dash off for whatever reason they can go whenever they need too It's very informal and we trust welcoming and friendly.

The sessions are run by Mary Barker, very ably assisted by a team of mums, with Cahty the vicar popping in when parish duties permit!

With the exception of Christmas we aim to meet every Wednesday throughout the year. In the summertime we may go out and about but will always make the arrangements in advance. If you would like more information please contact Mary at meebarker@talktalk.net
