Who can get married at an Anglican Church is \ngoverned by Law, however the Law has recently changed to enable more \npeople to get married at a church with which they have family \nconnections.You can get married at St. Andrew&#8217;s if&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>one of you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Lives in the parish,<\/li><li>Is on the church&#8217;s electoral roll<br>\n(If you do not live in the Parish you can be placed on the electoral \nrole, if you have been baptised or get baptised, and you attend at least\n once a month for a period of six months. We are a very friendly, \nwelcoming church and most people really enjoy their time with us.)<\/li><li>has at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months<\/li><li>has regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months<\/li><li>was baptised in the parish <\/li><li>was prepared for confirmation in the parish<\/li><li>has lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months<\/li><li>has at any time regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months<\/li><li>was married in the parish<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If none of the above apply, <strong>you still can get married in St Andrew&#8217;s<\/strong> if you obtain a Special Licence. (To do this you will still have to show some real connection with the Parish or church.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to pursue an application, then please email &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:vicar@slipend.co.uk\">vicar@slipend.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What we can offer you:<\/strong><br> We will guide you through all the legal requirements and  help you with practical arrangements.
